Beachbody, Shaun T's Insanity 60 Day Challenge

Beachbody’s Insanity 60 Day Challenge Update

I am currently on day 45 of Beachbody’s Insanity 60 Day Challenge and I am feeling amazing!

First I’d like to take a moment and tell you a little about my background and why I decided that 2012 would be the year that I would take control of my life and make healthy choices.  To put it simply, I was tired of feeling the guilt after I ate junk foods and most importantly, tired of the way my body looked.

I have had a gym membership for 4 years and I would consider myself to be pretty active.  At the gym, I'd usually workout 5 days a week, sometimes less, sometimes more depending on what obstacles life threw at me.  Although I saw some results from the gym, I still wasn’t getting the results that I wanted.

I am 5’2 and currently weigh 122 pounds.  About 2 years ago, I weighed 146 pounds and felt disgusted with myself and that’s when I started getting into fitness.  Through my fitness journey, I have been able to keep the weight off, however, through exercising at the gym, I wasn’t able to define and tone my body into my ideal body.

I ended up purchasing Insanity for my boyfriend and attempted one of the workouts with him one day but gave up half way through the warm up.  I thought I was in good shape, but Insanity proved me wrong.  I was angry with myself, I hated giving up, so naturally, I had to try it again.  After my boyfriend was finished with the program, I snagged it from him and I am happy to say that I am on day 45 of the 60 day Insanity Challenge!  I can’t believe that I was able to push through the workouts mentally, without giving up or getting to a point where frustration overcame me as it used to in the past.

Shaun T’s Insanity program is the best thing that could have ever happened to me physically.  I love working out!  I’m not going to lie, his workouts are very tough, but you learn to love them because they get you what you want.  I can’t believe I wasted 4 years of my life doing mindless workouts at the gym.  I can recall running on the treadmill and counting the calories as I ran, thinking that I have to keep on running until I burn  150 calories, or 300 calories, but this did not give me the results I wanted.  The workouts in the Insanity program are tough and Shaun T will push you to your limits.  You’ll be doing jumping jacks, push-ups, squats, lunges, frog jumps, stretches and learning new breathing techniques.  Shaun T is the man to get you the body you’ve been dreaming about.

I will do a before and after photo once I finish the program, and when I say "finish" I mean reach the 60 day mark, because I will never stop doing this workout regime.

My results so far…

You may be surprised by this, but I actually haven’t lost any weight according to the scale, which did upset me a tiny bit in the beginning.  However, I can see physical changes in my body that I LOVE when I look at myself in the mirror.  I haven’t measured myself yet, but I’m looking forward to it.  I can flex muscles that I didn’t even know I had prior to Insanity.

Since starting Insanity, I feel strong and full of energy.  On days that I decide to take a break from Insanity, I literally feel like I have a form of ADHD because I have so much energy that I need to get rid of that I find myself dancing around the house like a fool...

Because I can do Insanity, I can do anything.  That is how this program has made me feel and I hope that you will give it a try.  If I can change my bad eating habbits and push through a workout I never thought I could physically do, so can you.  Stop self loathing and start doing something about it.  Nothing worthwhile in life comes easy, and a smokin’ body is one of them, so get off the coach and start movin!

Message me if you have any questions at all about the program, I would love to help.
